Q2-2015: Growth and improved profitability
- Data Respons had a good second quarter in 2015 with 10 % growth, improved profitability and a high order intake, says Kenneth Ragnvaldsen, CEO of Data Respons ASA.
Operating revenue for the second quarter was NOK 229 million (209), a growth of 10 %. EBITDA was NOK 14.1 million (13.7) and EBIT amounted to NOK 13.2 million (13.0). Operating cash flow was NOK 15.8 million (17.2). Order intake for the period was NOK 250 million (234).
Operating revenue for the first half year was NOK 470 million (434), a growth of 8 %. EBITDA was NOK 29.4 million (27.1) and EBIT amounted to NOK 27.7 million (25.5). Operating cash flow was NOK 17.4 million (15.7). Order intake for the period was NOK 512 million (434). The group's order backlog at the end of the quarter was NOK 755 million (626).
Strong international development
- A strong development in our international operations is the driving force behind the second quarter growth. Sweden strengthened its position as the largest regional market area for the company at the same time as we are establishing a good foothold in the German market. We have been in Germany for 10 years and keep adding new blue-chip companies to our customer list, providing a good basis for future growth, says Ragnvaldsen. The good development in international markets counteracts the somewhat more challenging oil related markets in Norway. On aggregate, the company shows both growth and a solid order intake, says Ragnvaldsen.
IOT provides many opportunities
- Data Respons is well established in the growing IOT trend where the "things" get more intelligent and everything gets connected as well. This trend requires complex and advanced solutions and coincides with our area of expertise. In the years ahead we see IOT as one of our leading growth drivers, says Ragnvaldsen.
Continued positive development
- In the first half year, the company enjoyed both revenue growth and improved profitability. Although the market conditions are still mixed, we see significant potential in several of our key markets. The positive development in international markets combined with a record high order backlog in the products & solutions segment provides a good basis for continued positive development in the second half of 2015, concludes Ragnvaldsen.
