Strong growth

- The first half year provided record high revenues, order intake and order backlog. A solid market position, major solutions contracts and an increasing customer base across the company explain the positive development, says Kenneth Ragnvaldsen, CEO of Data Respons ASA.

The group's operating revenue for the 2nd quarter was NOK 217 million, a growth of 23 %. EBITDA was NOK 3.4 million and EBIT ended at NOK 2.0 million. The order intake was NOK 261 million.

The group's operating revenue for the first half year was NOK 435.2 million, a growth of 25 %. EBITDA was NOK 5.2 million and EBIT was 2.3 million. The order intake was NOK 507 million and the order backlog was NOK 678 million, a growth of 19 %.

Increasing in Sweden
In the second quarter Data Respons reported several major contracts which span from long term solution contracts to comprehensive framework agreements for consultancy services. The contracts are entered into with large industrial companies that are world-leading within their business sectors.

- It is particularly pleasing that our Swedish operations secured several large contracts towards the end of the quarter, says Ragnvaldsen. To be awarded this type of contract, the whole value chain needs to be in place. Important factors are local and customer related expertise within various disciplines, a quality-based supply chain as well as competitive cost levels gained through our global partners and our presence in Asia.

New record in Norway
The Norwegian operations continue its strong development in the second quarter. A firm market position, strong customer portfolio and a balanced business mix between solutions, products and consultancy services contributed to a new record for the first half year.

- Our Norwegian operations set the standard in terms of what we expect from the group's international focus. We particularly focus on reaching the potential in the Swedish market, which is estimated to be five times the size of the Norwegian market, says Ragnvaldsen.

Strong growth signs ahead
- Strong sales and more customer queries contribute to record high operating revenues, order intake and order backlog. These are good indicators for Data Respons and we expect that this will positively affect growth and improve results going forward, says Ragnvaldsen.
