- Data Respons had an order intake of NOK 302 million in the 2nd quarter. This is a new record and we are especially pleased that it is sale of solutions that is gaining momentum, says Kenneth Ragnvaldsen, CEO of Data Respons ASA.
Operating revenue in the 2nd quarter was NOK 176.3 million. EBITDA was NOK 2.7 million and EBIT was NOK 1.0 million. The order intake totalled NOK 302 million, a growth of 73%. Solutions sales filling up the order backlog
- The largest solutions contract was for medical equipment, and in addition several other exciting solution contracts was signed within transportation, automation, and offshore, says Ragnvaldsen. For all of these, Data Respons is positioned as a strategic partner where we develop, industrialise, and deliver cost effective technological solutions throughout the life cycle of the product.
Expanding in Asia
Data Respons is expanding further in Asia with its new office in one of the most successful industrial areas in Shanghai, China. Data Respons has already been established with an office in Taiwan for several years.
- Being close to both local innovation and global production is important to us because our business model offers the whole value chain. Innovation and development of technological solutions takes place locally with the customer, and explains why we are present in important industrial regions. At the same time development, industrialisation and delivery is taking place in an ever increasing tempo, which demands our presence where the solutions are produced as well. Our new office in Shanghai will contribute to us helping many of our customers utilise new opportunities, says Ragnvaldsen.
A good indicator for the future
- The order intake increases in all countries which is a good indicator for future Data Respons performance. The market is gradually moving in the right direction. In addition to the positive trend for solutions, we also see that sale of services is increasing and this will reflect in increased revenue and improved results in the 2nd half of 2010, says Ragnvaldsen.
