Sharp projections with WB1920

Data Respons has delivered Projectiondesign’s WB1920 solution for high performance projectors.

Published: February 14, 2011

Data Respons was handed the assignment of developing a solution that makes it possible to illuminate an uneven geometric surface using several projectors that each produce a sharp, perpendicular image.

The images from each projector are then combined and manipulated using software. The resulting image is stitched together seamlessly on the surface, irrespective of the shape of the surface and the number of projectors. Projectors are now being used to create near-reality experience in civil and military simulation and training, Virtual Reality and CAVEs, scientific visualisation, and even amusement park rides.

When it comes to blending, warping, colour correction, projector matching and 3D stereoscopic image processing, WB1920 in combination with projectors from Projectiondesign is the perfect solution. Data Respons has developed all hardware and software, as well as the mathematical description, the implementation of the algorithm and the integration of the solution into the functional user menu on the computer in Projectiondesign’s WB1920 solution.
