Data Respons’ office in Taipei acts like a “bridge” in the sense that it connects all Data Respons’ global offices to our partners in Asia, including China.
The communication between Data Respons, our customers and the Asian partners becomes smoother and the cultural differences and geographical distances are no longer an issue. Data Respons has established long-term strategic partnerships with all our partners in Asia. The asian partnership model has been developed over a period of ten years, an important milestone coming in 2001 when Data Respons opened an office in Taiwan. Data Respons is now expanding further into Asia with our new office in one of the most successful industrial areas in Shanghai, China.
– The close integration of our Asian offices into Data Respons global embedded development operations gives our customers higher speed and better quality, says Åge Gjellesvik, Executive Vice President Asia in Data Respons ASA.
- The innovation is made by our customers, in co-operation with Data Respons in Europe. We develop the solutions in Europe or Asia depending on the type of solution, but the production is carried out by our partners in Asia. The development, industrialisation and delivery take place at an ever-increasing pace, and this demand our presence at every step of the embedded value chain, says Gjellesvik. Data Respons Taiwan looks after logistics, project management, quality assurance and sourcing.
– A key success factor for Data Respons is that we are able to give our customers benefits with regard to faster development and production time, reduced cost and with the latest technology. In order to succeed with these goals we must have full control over the Asian part of the value chain. Local innovation and global production is the future for us and will, in our opinion, benefit our customers, concludes Gjellesvik.
